But after quite a few WTF moments, I’m here to tell you that safety absolutely matters. Crime happens everywhere, but when you’re just joining the #solotravel wave, it’s essential to prioritize places where crime is low and safety is prioritized.

I used the Global Peace Index report to create this list. It considers crime, economic opportunities, ongoing conflict, militarization, violence, sexual harassment, and more. I also included my personal experiences and those of my friends. Safe travels!
